Optical Image Stabilizer

The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) of the LUMIX ZS80 counteracts your hand shake to virtually eliminate blur, even in telephoto. A Zoom Compose Assist function will quickly track your subject when you are in telephoto and lose your sight. It automatically zooms out when shooting and relocates the subject.

DFD and Focusing

DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology shortens set focus time, essential for achieving super-high speed AF. The LUMIX ZS80 incorporates a large 1/2.3-inch MOS sensor with 20.3MP high resolution, plus high-speed burst shooting at 10 fps (AFS) / 5 fps (AFC) to capture fast-moving subject just in-focus and for consecutive shots in RAW.

4K VIDEO

The LUMIX ZS80 records very high-quality QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 30p or 24p in MP4. It also shoots Full HD 1920x1080 at 60p video in AVCHD Progressive or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) format with practical full-time AF.

4K PHOTO Mode

4K PHOTO lets you capture photos that other cameras won't. Save the fleeting moments at 30 fps in 8MP equivalent resolution by choosing the most photogenic frame out of your 4K burst file and extracting it as a high-res photo.

Auto Marking

To take even further advantage of 4K PHOTO and find the very best shot out of hundreds of frames, you can now use something called Auto Marking. With the Auto Marking function, you can jump to the nearest frame in which the detected differences between consecutive frames are obvious. This saves you time when choosing shots.

Sequence Composition Mode

Sequence Composition makes it possible to create a stromotion image by synthesizing multiple images shot at a fixed frame with 4K PHOTO. A unique image reflecting the subject’s motion can be easily produced in the camera without needing a special retouching process.

Live View Finder

The 0.21-inch 2,330K-dot equivalent LVF (Live View Finder) features a high magnification ratio of approximately 0.53x (35mm camera equivalent). The camera automatically switches the image output between the LVF and the rear monitor with the eye sensor on the LVF.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

The LUMIX ZS80 integrates Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for a more flexible shooting experience with instant image sharing. Once connected to a smartphone or tablet installed with the Panasonic Image App for iOS / Android, you can shoot, browse and share images remotely, plus choose the picture quality of the photos you send.

Creative Modes

The LUMIX ZS80 enables you to complement your imaging with a multitude of artistic functions. It also lets you shoot selfies in panorama, which comes in handy for individual or group selfies with scenic backdrops. The Creative Control mode gives you 22 filter options to choose from. The Creative Panorama function takes your horizontal or vertical panoramic image, and with the following shots, it overlays the previous picture and reflects 18 filter effects.
