The Panasonic UB9000 reference-class Ultra HD Blu-ray player uses Panasonic’s unique chroma and HDR processing technologies to reproduce images with cinema-level quality at home. This combines with a structure and components that pursue the highest possible audio quality, to bring you overwhelmingly beautiful pictures and sounds.
Advanced 4K and Multi HDR Processing
Multi HDR support includes HDR10+ dynamic metadata playback and Dolby Vision compatibility for more precise image expression. Panasonic HDR Optimizer uses tone mapping to adjust content brightness, helping standard HDR10 content and TV footage achieve optimized playback even when HDR10+ or Dolby Vision metadata is not available. THX certified image and sound reproduction supports finely nuanced color, rich detail, and lifelike surround sound. Panasonic 4K High Precision Chroma Processing, developed from technologies used by Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, interpolates 4K 4:2:0 color signals into 4K 4:4:4 with a multi tap chroma process for natural textures and depth.
Rigid Reference Construction and Low Noise Audio
A thick, three dimensional steel drive base secures the optical disc drive near the center of the two layer chassis, lowering the center of gravity and helping reduce vibration and disc rotation noise. Thick aluminum front and side panels increase chassis rigidity, while an alumite treatment gives the enclosure a refined reference class finish. The AC/DC conversion circuit separates power for the audio D/A converter and analog output circuit at their origin to reduce noise effects, while soft switching control further lowers power supply noise. Separate 2 channel and 7.1 channel output sections support flexible system integration, with balanced XLR and RCA connections for 2 channel audio plus 7.1 channel analog outputs.
4K Online Entertainment
4K VOD compatibility expands viewing beyond physical discs with supported services such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. High definition internet video signals are processed by Panasonic 4K High Precision Chroma Processing to help deliver crisp, detailed images. Together, the DP-UB9000 combines advanced HDR handling, precision chroma processing, rigid low vibration construction, dedicated analog audio circuitry, and flexible outputs for a reference class home theater system.
