Ricoh Imaging introduces the Pentax K-1 Mark II, the flagship successor to the original Pentax K-1 and the pinnacle of the Pentax K-series lineup. Designed with demanding photographers in mind, the K-1 Mark II builds on Pentax’s renowned durability and innovation, making it an exceptional choice for nature, landscape, and nightscape photography—while delivering excellent overall value.
This kit includes the HD PENTAX-D FA 28–105mm f/3.5–5.6 ED DC WR Lens, providing a versatile weather-resistant zoom ideal for everyday shooting and travel.
Flagship Pentax Design & Core Technologies
The K-1 Mark II retains the distinctive Pentax features photographers rely on, including Shake Reduction II, AA Filter Simulator, AstroTracer, Pixel Shift Resolution II, Flexible Tilt LCD, Composition Adjustment, Auto Horizon Correction, Smart Function controls, Operation Assist Lights, and a red-light LCD for night shooting. These tools combine to support precision shooting in challenging environments.
PRIME IV Image Processor with Accelerator Unit
At the heart of the camera is the PRIME IV 14-bit image processing engine paired with Ricoh’s advanced Accelerator Unit. This combination significantly reduces noise while preserving fine detail and rich color, even at extremely high ISO levels. With still-image sensitivity up to ISO 819,200 and video up to ISO 25,600, the K-1 Mark II excels in low-light and night photography.
Pixel Shift Resolution II
Pentax’s Pixel Shift Resolution II technology captures four images by shifting the sensor one pixel at a time, allowing every pixel to record full color data. The result is ultra-high-resolution images with exceptional color accuracy, increased detail, and reduced noise—ideal for landscapes, architecture, and studio work.
Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution
Taking Pixel Shift further, the K-1 Mark II introduces Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution. By intelligently analyzing natural camera movement, the system combines multiple images into a single high-resolution photo without requiring a tripod. This makes Pixel Shift usable in low-light situations and handheld shooting, while still allowing the SR II system to correct for camera shake.
Built for Demanding Photography
With its robust construction, advanced sensor stabilization, and innovative imaging technologies, the Pentax K-1 Mark II is purpose-built for photographers who prioritize image quality, reliability, and creative control. Paired with the included 28–105mm WR lens, it offers a powerful full-frame system that delivers flagship performance at a compelling value.
