Polaroid Originals Instant Lab
Pluck your memories from the cloud and bring them into the real world with the Polaroid Lab. It features a 3-lens system that acts like a desktop darkroom to turn your digital photos into instant Polaroid pictures. No printing or scanning required, just 100% real film chemistry. Plus, create and communicate in more ways than one with collage and augmented reality functions. Make for you, or make for someone else. But never lose a moment again.
Bring Your Still Images to Life
Go where a Polaroid camera has never gone before with this Instant Lab. You can create collages of up to 9 frames or bring your stills to life with the augmented reality tool using the Polaroid Originals app.
How Does It Work?
The Polaroid Lab uses a 3-lens system to project the screen image from your phone, exposing it onto Polaroid film. A unique chemical process then develops the image into a Polaroid picture. No printing, no scanning required, just an instant formula to create timeless images.
Collages Made Easy
Using the Polaroid Originals app, you can create seamless collages of up to 9 frames composed in any which way you like.
Digital to Analog and Back
The new augmented reality tool brings your memories to life. Using the Polaroid Originals app, you can layer still images with motion, all built into the chemistry of the photo.
Polaroid Originals Standard Color and B&W Film for i-Type Cameras
Every camera needs film to go with it. Polaroid Originals i-Type cameras have their own i-Type film, battery-free, unlike the standard film for vintage cameras (meaning it’s easier on the wallet) and optimized for the Polaroid OneStep 2 camera. i-Type film is a new generation of instant film, optimized for i-Type cameras like the OneStep 2. That means you get the best photos possible with your OneStep 2, as crisp, clear and colorful as every photo should be. And because i-Type cameras have their own rechargeable batteries, Polaroid doesn't have to put one in the film, meaning you save money on every single pack. But don't try using it in a 600 camera – it won't work, no matter how nicely you ask it to.
Fresh Formula. Familiar Feel.
It might look familiar, but this film is all new. It uses Polaroid's most advanced chemistry to provide richer colors, tones, and contrasts than any Polaroid film before it.
Store Chilled, Shoot Warm
Temperature affects how the film works. Keep it stored cold in the fridge, but never freeze it. Ideally you should let it adjust to room temperature before you use it. That’s around 55–82F (13–28C). When it’s cold out, keep your photos warm in a pocket close to your body while they develop. Or if it’s a hot day, make sure they stay cool.
Shoot with the Light
The more light in your shot, the better your photo will turn out. Instant film loves light, especially natural light. Use the flash for all your indoor photos. For best results Polaroid also recommends using the flash for outdoor shots, unless it’s a bright sunny day.
Develop in the Dark
All photos appear blank at first. They’re most sensitive during this time, so don’t bend or shake them. Shield them from the light, and place them face down as they develop. Keep B&W photos shielded from light for about 1 minute, and color film for about 6 minutes.
Care for Your Camera
Your camera has a set of rollers inside the film door. Each photo passes through these rollers as it’s made, so it’s important to make sure that they stay clean. If the rollers get visibly dirty then gently wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth.
