Built for compact cinema rigs and connected production, the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO-X 6K combines a 19.9 MP Super 35 global shutter sensor with an integrated locking RF mount. The camera records 6K 17:9 at up to 80 fps and 4K 17:9 at up to 120 fps, giving crews high frame rate options while preserving the motion characteristics of a global shutter design.
6K Global Shutter Capture
The redesigned KOMODO-X sensor delivers 6144 x 3240 effective pixels and supports REDCODE RAW recording to CFexpress Type B media. A maximum data rate of 560 MB/s supports demanding capture, while phase-detect and contrast autofocus enable adaptable lens workflows. The aluminum alloy body measures 5.1 inches x 4 inches x 3.8 inches and weighs 2.62 pounds without the body cap and media.
RF Mount and Connected Production
The reinforced locking RF mount supports electronic communication and works with RED RF to PL adapters for compatible PL lenses. Integrated Wi-Fi, Ethernet over USB Type C, PTP synchronization, 1080p IP live streaming, and RED Connect support make the camera well suited to remote control, multi-camera production, virtual production, and live broadcast workflows. A 2.9-inch 1440 x 1440 touchscreen provides local preview and control.
