The RED Digital Cinema V-RAPTOR X 8K VV Starter Pack is built around a compact DSMC3 cinema camera that combines large format 8K acquisition with a 35.4MP global shutter CMOS sensor. With 8192 x 4320 effective pixels and 17+ stops of dynamic range, the camera gives filmmakers extensive image information for demanding production and post-production workflows.
High Resolution Global Shutter Capture
V-RAPTOR X records up to 120 fps at 8K 17:9 and up to 150 fps at 8K 2.4:1. REDCODE RAW acquisition is available across resolutions from 8K through 2K, while Apple ProRes recording is supported at resolutions up to 4K. RED Global Vision adds Extended Highlights capability for retaining additional highlight information in extreme dynamic range scenes.
Professional Lens, Media, and Monitoring Support
The integrated locking RF mount provides electronic communication and supports compatible lens adapters. CFexpress Type B media supports data rates up to 800 MB/s when qualified cards are used. Dual 12G SDI outputs provide professional monitoring options, while timecode, genlock, phase detect autofocus with face detection, Wi-Fi control, and wired remote control support a wide range of production environments.
Compact DSMC3 Camera Body
The aluminum alloy body measures 5.9 inches x 4.5 inches x 4.3 inches and weighs 4.03 lb without the body cap and CFexpress card. An integrated V-Lock battery interface supports Micro V-Lock batteries, helping the camera adapt to handheld, configured, and production-oriented builds.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.
