The RED Digital Cinema V-RAPTOR XL X 8K VV brings global shutter imaging, large format 8K acquisition, high frame rates, and production-focused controls into RED's XL camera platform. Built for demanding motion picture and television workflows, it gives camera teams extensive control over capture, monitoring, synchronization, power, and connectivity from a centralized body.
Global Shutter 8K VV Imaging
The V-RAPTOR XL X uses RED's 8K VV global shutter platform for large format acquisition. The default 8K 17:9 format records 8192 x 4320 pixels across a 40.96 mm x 21.60 mm capture area. Recording options extend from 8K down through lower resolution formats, with frame rates reaching 120 fps at 8K 17:9 and 600 fps at 2K 2.4:1. RED Global Vision adds Extended Highlights and Phantom Track capabilities for specialized production workflows.
Integrated Exposure and Production Control
Built-in electronic ND gives cinematographers direct exposure control from the camera, with selectable quarter, third, and full stop increments. The XL platform also provides multiple SDI connections, 12 V and 24 V auxiliary power outputs, timecode, genlock, USB-C, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and wireless synchronization support for connected production environments.
This V-Lock configuration supports both 14 V and 26 V battery operation. It is supplied as a Production Pack without batteries, making it suited to crews that already maintain compatible V-Lock power systems.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.
