The RED Digital Cinema V-RAPTOR 8K S35 brings high-resolution acquisition and high frame rate recording to a compact Super 35 cinema camera platform. Its 35.4 MP CMOS sensor captures 8192 x 4320 at the full 8K 17:9 format and provides 16.5 plus stops of dynamic range. The camera records REDCODE RAW and supports demanding cinema, broadcast, wildlife, live event, and other professional production workflows.
8K Super 35 Capture
Capture REDCODE RAW at up to 120 fps in 8K 17:9 or up to 150 fps in 8K 2.4:1. Lower resolution formats extend the available frame rate, reaching up to 240 fps at 4K 17:9 and up to 600 fps at 2K 2.4:1. The Super 35 sensor format supports productions that rely on Super 35 lens coverage while retaining 8K acquisition for detailed masters, reframing flexibility, and demanding post production workflows.
Flexible Production Integration
An integrated RF mount provides native RF lens support and works with compatible RF to EF adapters. The camera records to qualified CFexpress media at data rates up to 800 MB per second. Dual 12G SDI monitor outputs, timecode, genlock, GPIO, wired control, Wi-Fi camera control, and an integrated control LCD help the camera adapt to compact builds as well as connected production environments.
Compact Aluminum Camera Body
The aluminum alloy body weighs 4.0 lb without the body cap and CFexpress card and measures 6 inches long, 4.25 inches wide, and 4.25 inches high. An integrated V Lock battery interface supports compatible Micro V Lock batteries, while the 6-pin DC input accepts 11 to 17 volts DC. The Starter Pack configuration provides a foundation for building a complete V-RAPTOR 8K S35 shooting system.
