The RED Digital Cinema KOMODO-X brings a 19.9 MP Super 35 mm global shutter sensor into a compact cinema camera platform built for demanding production workflows. It records 6144 x 3240 images and reaches up to 80 fps at 6K, giving filmmakers high-resolution capture with the motion characteristics of a global shutter design.
High Frame Rate Cinema Capture
KOMODO-X extends recording flexibility across multiple resolutions. RED specifies maximum frame rates of 80 fps at 6K, 96 fps at 5K, 120 fps at 4K, and 240 fps at 2K in supported REDCODE RAW settings. CFexpress Type B media supports the camera's compact recording workflow, while IPP2 color management provides support for 3D LUTs and CDL adjustments.
RF Mount and Production Connectivity
The integrated locking Canon RF mount provides electronic communication while maintaining the rigidity required for cinema production. KOMODO-X also supports compatible RED PL adapters. Connectivity includes 12G SDI monitoring, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, 9-pin EXT functions for Genlock, Timecode, and control, plus a full-size DC power input.
An aluminum alloy body, integrated Micro V Lock battery interface, network control options, and professional monitoring support make KOMODO-X adaptable to compact rigs, multicamera work, studio environments, and connected production systems.
