The SIG SAUER ROMEO8T-AMR is a 1x40mm red dot sight built around a large 40 mm clear aperture, a red Quad Circle Dot 2.0 Automatic Modified Reticle, and a compact black housing. Its broad viewing window supports fast visual reference while the 1x optical system keeps the sight picture natural for range, competition, hunting, and training use.
Automatic Modified Reticle Control
AMR technology lets the optic change between user-selected reticle configurations when it is used with an AMR-equipped magnifier. This gives the shooter a reticle presentation matched to magnified or unmagnified viewing without manually changing the sight each time. The optic also provides 15 illumination settings, including 12 daytime levels and 3 night vision levels, plus a dedicated night vision override control.
Long Runtime and Motion Activation
A single CR123 battery powers the sight. SIG SAUER rates runtime at up to 50,000 hours when used with MOTAC motion sensing. MOTAC turns illumination on when motion is detected and powers it down during inactivity, helping reduce unnecessary battery use. The optic also uses multi-coated lens technology to support a clear sight picture across changing light conditions.
Protected for Demanding Environments
The ROMEO8T-AMR combines a titanium shroud with MIL STD 810 durability, IPX8 waterproofing, and fogproof construction. The M1913 mounting interface supports common rifle rail setups, while the supplied flip covers help protect the lenses between uses. At 72.6 mm long, 49.5 mm wide, 60.7 mm high, and 9.5 ounces, the sight balances a large viewing aperture with a compact overall footprint.
