The SIG SAUER ROMEO-M17 1x24 mm reflex red dot sight combines a fully enclosed optical system with a rugged 7075 aluminum housing. Its 1x view and 24 mm objective support a clear sight picture, while the enclosed, sealed, and purged design helps keep moisture and debris away from the emitter. The black housing uses the SIG-LOC mounting interface and is built specifically around compatible M17 and M18 configurations.
Selectable Reticle and Brightness
Choose the aiming presentation that fits the task with a 2 MOA red dot, a 32 MOA red circle, or the combined circle and dot reticle. Fifteen brightness settings provide 12 daytime levels plus 3 settings for Gen 3+ night vision use. Independent recessed brightness controls are protected by a surrounding plate and shaped so the up and down controls can be distinguished by touch.
Motion and Magnetic Activation
MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers the reticle when movement is detected and powers it down after inactivity to conserve battery life. MAGNETAC adds magnetic activation with a compatible holster, turning the optic off when holstered and restoring the last brightness setting when removed. The side-mounted CR2032 battery compartment allows battery replacement without removing the optic, and the current product specification lists up to 50,000 hours of runtime in dot-only mode.
Purpose Built M17 and M18 Fit
The ROMEO-M17 uses the proprietary SIG-LOC mounting interface and fits single-screw M17 and M18 military-issue and commemorative configurations. It does not fit standard commercial P320 slides. The optic also retains the original rear sight during installation, helping preserve the intended sight picture on compatible platforms.
