The Sigma FP2 Digital Camera is fully designed around human creativity, with its identity resting on three core principles: small, powerful, adaptable. Equipped with a full frame 24.5 megapixel partially stacked CMOS sensor, it remains light and pocketable while delivering outstanding rendering power, depth of colour, subtle tonal gradation, advanced AF performance, and excellent dynamic range. The high speed sensor readout significantly reduces rolling shutter distortion while supporting faster continuous shooting and video recording at high frame rates. The Sigma FP2 switches seamlessly between Still and Cine, giving photographers and filmmakers dedicated functions, workflows, and user interfaces in one exceptionally compact body.

Expressive Photography with an Adaptable Shooting Experience

A tilting LCD that tilts up 90 degrees and down 45 degrees gives photographers broader perspectives for low and high angle shooting. A dedicated external electronic viewfinder can be attached through a single USB-C port and tilts upward by up to 90 degrees for comfortable eye level or waist level shooting. The advanced AF system improves accuracy, speed, and low light performance, with subject detection for people, animals, and birds. The Sigma FP2 also offers approximately 30% longer battery life than the original fp, capturing approximately 370 still images or about 130 minutes of video. Its 70GB of internal storage works alongside the SD card slot, while continuous shooting reaches up to approximately 20fps for as many as 200 frames in a single burst.

Creative Colour and Full Fledged Cinema Capability

Thirteen colour modes give photographers intuitive creative control through the dedicated Colour button. Standard provides faithful, balanced colour reproduction, while Rich, Calm, Powder Blue, Warm Gold, Teal and Orange, FOV Classic Blue, FOV Classic Yellow, Forest Green, Sunset Red, Cinema, 709 Look, and Monochrome offer distinct approaches to tone, atmosphere, colour, and tonal gradation. At the flip of a dedicated switch, the Sigma FP2 changes from a still camera to a full fledged cinema camera. Its compact full frame design can support productions ranging from personal vlogs and fly on the wall documentaries to high end film and TV work.

Professional Cine Features for Flexible Production

The Sigma FP2 supports 6K OpenGate recording, capturing information from the full frame sensor so footage can be adapted to different aspect ratios while maintaining high image quality. Up to 14.1 stops of dynamic range provides rich tonal gradation in high contrast environments, with 7 stops of headroom at ISO 1250 and above when using 4K FF L Log. The camera supports 32 bit float audio recording with the optional HU-21 hot shoe unit and compatible Panasonic DMW-XLR2 and DMW-DMS1 accessories. It also supports Apple ProRes RAW and L Log from Leica Camera AG for advanced post production workflows. A Director’s Viewfinder function can simulate the shooting ranges of various cinema cameras and supports a desqueeze display mode for anamorphic lenses, including support for ARRI ALEXA 35 and Sony VENICE 2 / BURANO formats. The optional LCD Viewfinder LVF-21 provides another way to check the view on the optical axis.
