Reduce Unwanted Background Noise

Eliminate unwanted low-frequency background noises with the low cut filter. Projectors, traffic or wind will distort your recording, but you can filter those sounds out to focus on the voices.

Another way to reduce background noise is Auto Voice Recording, which optimizes audio capture settings for vocal frequencies. This gives you a purer recording that isolates a person's voice. Clear Voice technology further cleans up the signal when you play your recording back.

You can record in either linear PCM or MP3 file format. The PCM format takes more space but captures more detail, making it a good choice for recording music. MP3 files are compressed but need less memory -- they're ideal for long lectures or meetings. You can also play back files in these two formats in music player mode.
