The Sony ILME-FR7 Full-Frame PTZ Camera is the world’s first camera to combine a full-frame image sensor, interchangeable lenses, and integrated pan/tilt/zoom functionality. Featuring a back-illuminated Exmor R sensor with 10.3 effective megapixels and the powerful BIONZ XR processor, the FR7 delivers exceptional image quality, cinematic color, and flexible remote operation for advanced production environments.
Remotely Controlled Pan/Tilt/Zoom Mechanism
The integrated PTZ mechanism allows the ILME-FR7 to be mounted on tripods, ceilings, or other hard-to-access locations for unobtrusive operation. Pan and tilt speeds are continuously adjustable from 0.02° per second to 60° per second for precise movement. The camera supports a pan range of -170° to +170° and a tilt range of -30° to +195° when upright, or -210° to +15° when inverted. Compatibility with Sony’s RM-IP500 controller enables centralized multi-camera control, with one unit capable of managing up to 100 cameras.
Interchangeable Sony E-Mount Lens Support
The FR7 supports Sony’s E-mount system and works with more than 70 compatible lenses, including premium G Master options. Focal lengths ranging from ultra-wide to super-telephoto provide extensive creative flexibility, while power zoom lenses can be remotely controlled for precise framing.
Web-Based Remote Control
A built-in web application allows full camera control—including pan, tilt, zoom, focus, recording, playback, and settings—directly from a tablet or computer browser. This makes the FR7 ideal for ceiling-mounted or hard-to-reach installations. The camera also integrates seamlessly with the RM-IP500 controller, offering joystick-based PTZ control with adjustable movement speeds.
High Sensitivity and Wide Dynamic Range
The ILME-FR7 supports ISO expansion up to 409,600 for low-light environments. In Cine EI mode, base sensitivity can be set to ISO 800 or ISO 12,800 to balance noise performance and dynamic range. With over 15 stops of dynamic range, the camera preserves highlight and shadow detail for a cinematic look.
Slow and Quick Motion Recording
Internal recording supports QFHD resolution up to 120 fps for smooth 5x slow-motion playback. High-quality XAVC-I 4:2:2 10-bit recording is available at 120 fps, while Full HD recording up to 240 fps enables dramatic 10x slow-motion effects when played back at 24p.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
