MakerBot Tough Precision Filament Spool for Method 3D Printer
The MakerBot Tough Precision Filament is engineered for durable 3D printed prototypes and fixtures and is designed for Method 3D Printer. Tough Precision Model Material is a thermoplastic engineered for durable, strong, and dimensionally accurate 3D printed prototypes and fixtures. With up to 2x the impact strength of ABS and similar tensile and flexural strength properties, MakerBot Tough Material gives you high durability and toughness.
Durable, Usable Parts
At 2x the impact strength of ABS, MakerBot Tough filament offers superior durability for industrial prototyping and manufacturing aid applications. With tensile and flexural strength that match ABS, designers and engineers can create parts that hold up under all types of stress.
Machine and Finish
The same properties that give MakerBot Tough filament its durability also make it ideal for machining and post-processing. Throw your printed part into the CNC or drill press; tap some threads and bolt on a steel bracket, or sand the surface down and apply paint for a finished presentation piece.
Spool Type
Smart Spool provides valuable information including material type, color, and amount remaining via an RFID chip directly to MakerBot Print, while a desiccant in the spool maintains a low moisture level inside the drawer bay.
Storage Environment
Safely store the MakerBot Method Tough Precision Material in the included vacuum-sealed metalized polyester bag to avoid moisture absorption from air; long-term exposure to humidity can compromise material quality and performance. Make sure the built-in desiccant is in the spool to absorb any moisture exposure during the material loading process.
