Razor-Sharp Image Detail at Any Distance
The Zeiss Terra ED binoculars are designed to provide excellent magnification as well as a crystal clear image quality. The large 42mm objective lens collects a large amount of light for a bright image and the 8x magnification power means you can get up close and personal to anything in your field of view.
Schott Extra Low Dispersion (ED) Glass
The material used in the manufacturing of the lens elements is a special extra low-dispersion glass that corrects chromatic aberrations. These aberrations can cause discoloration in the image you see through the eyepiece as well as reduced contrast and blurring around the edges of the viewing field. Because the Schott glass lenses reduce or even eliminate these distortions, you’ll get much clearer images across the entire visual field.
Multi-Coated Glass Elements
To further enhance image quality, the optical elements and Schmidt-Pechan prisms in these binoculars have been treated with a multi-coating to improve light transmission. More light means higher contrast images and more vibrant color reproduction. The lens coating is hydrophobic to prevent water from beading up on the objective lens, too.
Rugged Design
The body of these binoculars has a number of features that make them ideal for use off the beaten path. They feature textured thumb grips that make them easier to hold onto and prevents accidental drops. The lens barrels are sealed with O-rings to keep dust, dirt and moisture out, while Nitrogen purging prevents fogging even in extreme temperatures. You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.
