The Yukon is a fixed-blade knife based on a time-tested design proven by hunters and trappers in the far north. This modern interpretation incorporates contemporary materials and features to deliver exceptional performance in the field.
A Blade Built for Skinning
- Elliptical Blade Shape: This unique blade design achieves a long skinning radius with minimal drag, allowing for smooth and efficient cuts.
- D2 Tool Steel: Renowned for its durability and good edge retention (Rockwell Hardness: 59-61), this blade tackles demanding cutting tasks with ease and stays sharp longer.
- 18-20 Degree Bevel Angle: This angle contributes to the knife’s sharpness and cutting performance.
- Traditional Sharpened Edge: Single sharpened edge to tip. Top edge not sharpened.
- Hunter’s Non-Glare Matte Finish: This finish reduces glare.
Comfort and Safety Features
- Grooved Thumb Rest: The jimping on the spine of the blade provides a secure area for the thumb or forefinger when field dressing and gives better control and leverage.
- Ergonomic: The ergonomic design of this unique knife enhances grip and safety during use.
- Suregrip Handle: The finely checkered rubberized handle is designed for a secure and comfortable grip, even when wet or bloody, reducing fatigue during extended use. Available in black or hunter orange.
Secure Carry
- Leather Sheath: This high-quality sheath offers secure and convenient storage for your Yukon SureGrip Knife.
The Yukon Knife is a worthy successor to a legendary design. Its proven skinning performance, modern materials, and comfortable grip make it a valuable tool for hunters and outdoorsmen who appreciate tradition and innovation.
