The RED Digital Cinema V-RAPTOR XE Z Mount brings an 8K VV global shutter imaging platform into a compact cinema camera body built for demanding production workflows. Its 35.4 MP CMOS sensor captures 8192 x 4320 effective pixels and delivers 17+ stops of dynamic range, giving filmmakers substantial latitude for detailed acquisition and post-production work.
8K VV Global Shutter Capture
REDCODE RAW recording supports up to 60 fps at 8K 17:9, 120 fps at 4K 17:9, and 240 fps at 2K 17:9. Multiple REDCODE settings and acquisition formats give productions flexibility across large format, Super 35, Super 16, and anamorphic workflows. Dedicated ProRes recording is available at resolutions up to 4K, while proxy recording supports ProRes 422 HQ in 2K at up to 60P.
Locking Nikon Z Mount and Connected Control
The integrated locking Nikon Z mount provides electronic communication with compatible lenses and supports /i PL lenses through RED PL adapters. Phase detect autofocus with face detection supports responsive lens operation. Dual band Wi-Fi provides wireless camera control, live preview, and direct Camera to Cloud workflows, while USB-C and compatible Ethernet connectivity support wired control and high-speed media offload.
